Two Peas in a Pod

As I mentioned before, Michael is really interested in Carson and is WAY into being the big brother.  So lately Michael has been having some quality time with Carson and showing him the ropes.  Here they are reading one of Michael's favorite Dinosaur books:

Michael built a fort so he and Carson could watch a TV Show:

They even dress alike these days:

While Michael was at school today, Carson snuck into Michael's room to play with his big bear for a 6 month photo:

They play with toys together:

Earlier this afternoon, Michael actually acted silly and entertained Carson and made him belly laugh for the first time.  They're starting to play and interact with each other.  I had a moment.  We're off to Texas for 2 weeks so we'll see ya'll later!

Bath-time Fun

Before we get to bath time, last Sunday, we ventured to the city to hear my High School Church Choir in concert at Lincoln Park Zoo.  It was so fun to see old friends and sponsors and hear the choir sing songs that I sang back in the day.

Michael loved the giraffes but I think he liked riding on Ryan's shoulders more:

Michael skipped his nap that day so we could see the concert.....so once he got in the buggy, he was OUT.
Ok, onto bath time.  Michael has been very interested lately in helping give Carson a bath.  A few nights ago, Michael did everything....

Carson didn't seem to mind!
Michael even carried him to his room to get ready for bed time.  Carson looked a little worried here.....
So, we bought this new contraption that lets the boys take a bath together and BOY did they have fun.  Michael spent the whole time entertaining Carson and Carson spent the whole time laughing.  It was so much fun to watch the boys interact like that.  I love those little boys so much it hurts sometimes.

Ryan and the little lion....but he has a BIG roar!!!
Michael was excited that they were both animals....and kept calling Carson a "Ribbit".  Oh well, close enough.  :)

Visit from cousin Kendall

Michael's cousin Kendall came for a visit last week.....all by herself from Houston.  We did alot of fun activities and here are a few pictures to commemorate the week:

Kendall reading to the boys:
Since Carson didn't like Rice Cereal, we tried bananas and were slightly more successful.  He still doesn't appear to have an interest in any food yet......He IS my son right?
We all went to Pirates Cove one day which is like a toddler amusement park.  Here's a picture of Michael on the paddle boats:

Michael rode these push along trains OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER....and you get my point.
Group shot:
We went to our bakery a few streets away to pick up some yummy treats for dessert one night.  Kendall and Michael opted for the smiley face cookies.....
We played outside so long, that I lost track of time.  However, Carson let us know it was past his bedtime.  :)

The most exciting news of the week was Michael got a big boy bike, complete with training wheels.  I don't think there's been a day since that we haven't gone for a ride around the block "to see my friends".  He LOVES it!
We trekked into the city one day and visited the Lincoln Park Zoo.  Such a great zoo - and free!  Here are the boys and a jaguar in the background:

Cute picture of Carson at the pool.  Such a great baby:

Michael LOVES being in the pool and is taking lessons this summer.  ;

Thanks for coming for a visit Kendall!  See ya'll in Texas in a few weeks!
